The Faculty of Music, the former Conservatory of Debrecen was accredited on its 40 years anniversary in November, 2006. The past decades brought about the ability and the possibility of education in English language. Greek, Persian, Japanese students have already finished their studies in different musical fields in the college or the university section.
The Department of Music sets importance on the traditional music skills, but this is not the only focus of the program. Students are also encouraged to develop at a personal level and to become more individual and imaginative in their interpretations, taking their music to new unexplored areas.
