Mental health and learning disabilities nursing placements are much more community-focused, in clinics, health centres and schools.

    Optometry is concerned with the examination, diagnosis and treatment of the eyes. A primary health care profession, it is particularly concerned with the correction of vision problems. As a practising optometrist you will need an understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medicine.

  • Bachelor in Dental Nursing

    University of Portsmouth

    This programme allows the student to gain both an academic award and a professional registration as a dental nurse. Core subjects are studied jointly with the BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy students during Year one of their award. Students will not be required to pay tuition fees.

    The Occupational Therapy course at Bradford is part of a larger local Occupational Therapy education provision in West Yorkshire. The collaboration between 3 local Universities to establish the provision of Occupational Therapy education was developed in response to the growing need for qualified Occupational Therapists within the local area. This collaboration resulted in Occupational Therapy programmes at Bradford, Leeds Metropolitan and Huddersfield Universities. The three Universities have many values in common, but different strengths, such as modes of teaching and educational philosophies in learning, teaching and assessment; these will facilitate the development of newly qualified Occupational Therapists who have subtly different strengths.
