The goal of this multi-disciplinary program is to give students expertise in areas that affect business and politics in the North. While gaining a specific knowledge of Norwegian politics and business, graduates also develop analytical and communicative skills highly relevant for positions within management, administration and research both in the public and private sectors. In the fast-changing environment we face today we believe that acquiring a broad range of skills and developing ones´ personal intellect is the best preparation for a future career.
This is a three year full time program, that gives a total of 180 ECTS credits. Most units are 10 credits, ie you normally do 6 units per year. In the first year all units are compulsory, however, the students choose between a Norwegian or an English language course depending on their language background. In the second year you do three compulsory and three elective courses. In the third year you are free to choose courses according to your own interest. However, to be admitted to the Master programs in either Political Science and Governance or Aquaculture, specific plans must be followed. Students are encouraged to spend one or two semesters at one of our partner universities.
