The Bachelor's programme in Economics and Business Economics gives you a flexible multidisciplinary foundation for understanding how global economics and business work.
The 3-year Bachelor's programme in Economics & Business Economics will shape the way you think about the world. This stimulating English-language programme gives you a solid foundation in the theory and practices of global economics and business economics. More importantly, it offers you the chance to incorporate your other fields of interest into a full-spectrum framework for understanding this complex topic. And you get the support of a USE tutor throughout your first year of study. Required courses in mathematics, statistics, macro and micro economics, accounting, and multidisciplinary economics fill your first year. You choose your optional course profile in the second semester of Year 1. You may elect to create a strictly Economics profile, for example by taking one of six specialised tracks: Financial-Monetary Economics, Business & Management, International Economics, Labour & Organisation, Economics & Politics, or Firm & Competition. You may also take on an optional minor (such as law, geography, or social sciences), or 'broaden your horizons' by studying abroad or at another Dutch university. This rigorous programme provides an ideal basis for your career or future study.

Business Management:
Management of internal processes of a business and the interaction between firms and their environment.
International Economics:
Stabilization and the economic interaction between multinational firms and countries.
Labour and Organisation:
Studies the organisation of labour processes within businesses and compares different organisational types at a business, industry, national and international level.
Economics and Politics:
Efficiency and efficacy of economic policy, the relevance of the public sector to societal prosperity.
Business and Competition:
This track combines aspects of market theory and regulation, organisation science, the theory of strategic management and competition law.
