Are you dreaming of a career in the dynamic circus world? Fontys School of Performing and Visual Art is developing a high-quality and innovative study programme for circus artists at HBO (Higher Professional Education) level. This small-scale Academy of Circus & Performance Art will focus on all forms of contemporary circus. Beside a wide variety of circus disciplines, attention is paid to clowning and new techniques as Vertical Dance, Break-Dance, and in view of the current developments, mime, movement, performance and object work. The unique thing about this study programme is the exceptional opportunity to combine circus art with other forms of art, such as drama, fine arts, dance and music, and sport in direct co-operation with the other art disciplines of the Fontys School of Performing and Visual Art and with the Fontys Sports Academy.
