The student of the Degree Programme in Business Information Technology (BIT) becomes competent in international information technology and business. Two specialisation options are emphasised and offered to further deepen the knowledge and skills of the student: development of Business Service Systems and implementation of Information Security Systems at Laurea in Espoo. The student develops in real work life participant projects and gains valuable practical experience of the tasks in the field of international business information technology. The objectives are to develop expertise in international co-operative development projects and to educate representatives for Finnish service innovations.
Bachelors of Business Administration graduating from the Degree Programme in Business Information Technology may obtain employment as IT service experts, system experts, system designers, IT designers, software architects, technical designers, web application developers, network developers, programmers, micro support or online support people, IT trainers or consultants. As their experience grows, their careers may take them towards increasingly demanding IT jobs. Graduates of Business Information Technology may work in companies that develop IT services and solutions or any other businesses or organisations that use these services and solutions. Employment opportunities lie in developing or maintaining IT services and solutions in trade, industry, social services, health care, education or public administration.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
