Psychology is a most exciting and rapidly growing field that aims to understand human experience and behavior. Psychologists are employed in many fields. To give some examples, organizational psychologists offer expertise in leadership issues, employee training or team dynamics; clinical psychologists work in clinics and meet patients in private practice to help with emotional problems; experimental psychologists study human behavior inside and outside of research laboratories; and developmental psychologists examine child and adult development, often consulting for schools. Webster's psychology program offers a state of the art introduction to the field of psychology. As a participant, you quickly realize that learning about psychology is more than facts: it involves creatively furthering the theory, practically applying your knowledge, and encouraging personal reflection on the real life meaning of the topics you study. Our faculty consists of accomplished academicians and professionals who bring a wealth of practical experience into the classroom. They work as clinical psychologists and psychotherapists, they research topics such as psychotherapy, burnout, or the psychological decision-making dynamics in financial markets, they conduct seminars for the business world and they deal with public health issues such as AIDS or the psychological training of hospital teams.
In addition to performing top level practical work in the field, our psychology graduates have successsfully continued their studies at internationally known institutions such as Columbia University, Cambridge University, the London School of Economics, Yale University and the Sorbonne Institute
