The scope of ithis programme's subject area ranges over such topics (to name but a few) as, semiconductors, lasers, fractals, chaos, black holes, the Big Bang, the fundamental forces of nature, neural networks and the simulation of physical and biological systems.
Mathematics is one of the purest forms of thought, but its relevance to our everyday lives is fundamental. While its origins date back to ancient Greece, Mathematics continues to underpin key areas of human endeavour and industry, from engineering to construction to economics to software development to space travel.
As a student of Theoretical Physics and Mathematics, you will learn how to analyse and explain complex issues, to identify problems and work out solutions, and to enter into the unknown with an open mind. Theoretical Physics and Mathematics are fundamental to all the other science subjects and to engineering.
Theoretical Physics and Mathematics is taken as a Double Honours Bachelor of Science degree. In First, Second, and Third Year, students take Theoretical Physics and Mathematics modules.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Applicants must have an IELTS score of 6, if not they may take our International Foundation Course. Minimum English language requirement for the IFC is IELTS 4.5 or equivalent.
