Biomedical Science is the application of Biological Science to medical use. Biomedical scientists use analytical and technical procedures to monitor and improve human health and to diagnose and investigate disease. The areas of study involved are broadly similar to the pre-clinical component of a medical degree.
As a student, you will learn to ask questions, make observations, and analyse evidence - in theory work and through practical lab sessions - and you will learn to present and communicate your findings clearly. You will also develop computer literacy and advanced research skills.
Biological and Biomedical Sciences is taken as a Single Honours Bachelor of Science degree.
