The Logistics Management Bachelors course trains you to become a distribution and logistics specialist in the modern business world. During the course you study current international business practices and the latest trends in logistics and management. You also develop practical skills that will be essential on the job.
As a Logistics Management graduate you can identify and analyse problems in the production and distribution processes of goods and services. You can also design practical solutions to meet your employer’s needs.
Logistics Management graduates find middle management jobs in many fields, including purchasing, production, marketing, automation and cost control.
During your Bachelors course you focus on logistics but also learn about marketing and its relationship to logistics. Marketing is a unique aspect of this Bachelors degree. It gives you a broader and more marketable business background.
You also acquire management and organisation skills with a strong emphasis on internationalisation. During your study abroad and work placement abroad, you also get the chance to experience being in a different cultural environment. This international experience will certainly boost your global career opportunities.
Students who successfully complete the Logistics Management* course obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).

Logistics Management is a full-time Bachelors degree course that prepares you for an exciting international career. The course is taught in English and can be completed in 4 years or 2 intensive years.
International orientation
The Logistics Management Bachelors degree course at HAN University of Applied Sciences prepares you for an international business career.
In the first year you learn the basics of good business and good management in an international context. Over the next three years you develop these skills through practical projects and assignments, for example by researching an actual company.
Study and work placement abroad
During the course you are required to spend 2 semesters abroad in 2 different countries. One of these semesters is a work placement. During the placement you gain international work experience and sharpen your intercultural communication skills. This experience will increase your future employment opportunities.
Learning environment
You are taught by international lecturers in small groups of 30 students. Courses are practical and project-oriented. You receive plenty of individual attention from your lecturers. They help you with your course work, and with feeling at home at HAN and in the Netherlands.
Course participants come from Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. This international mix will stimulate you to think beyond the boundaries of your own culture. And, it will prepare you for an exciting career in an international, multicultural setting.
General course structure
Each year is divided into 2 semesters and each semester is divided into 2 terms. You will be assessed throughout the academic year and have exams at the end of each term. You are taught 5 to 6 modules per semester and will be involved in interactive group projects aimed at developing your practical skills.

After graduation
After graduation Logistics Management students generally work in middle management positions in an international setting. They also have good promotion possibilities to upper management. After your Bachelors degree course you may also continue for a Masters degree. The Masters takes one year and is done at London’s University of Westminster.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

French starts at intermediate level and requires ‘faux débutant’, which means approximately 2 to 3 years of previous training. German starts at beginners’ and intermediate level. To join the intermediate level group, you need ‘Grundstufe’, which means approximately 2 to 3 years of previous training. Dutch and Spanish start at beginners’ level.
If you have already studied subjects related to this course at another institute of higher education, you may be eligible for exemption from the 1st year. In this case you will be admitted directly into the 2nd year of the course, and will graduate in less than 4 years. To qualify for direct admission to the 2nd year, you must meet the following requirements:
