The programme is aimed to training in the fields of one of the most modern specialities - logistics. It is unique due to the fact that it is a unifying link of transport, industrial and commercial activity of any enterprise. Choice of the optimal routing, the effective type of transport, terminals and warehouses, modeling of the complete supply chain and many other is a competence of the logistics specialist.

Courses - Block A: Bookkeeping, Accounting, Business Activity Fundamentals, Business Activity Legal Regulation, Corporate Finances, Diploma Paper, Enterprises Economics and Organization, Higher Mathematics, Insurance in Transport, International Economic Relations, Labour Safety, Civil Defence and Environment Protection, Logistics in International Business, Macroeconomics, Management Psychology and Sociology, Marketing, Microeconomics, Optimization Theories and Methods, Philosophy, Practice, Providers of Logistical Services, Qualification examination, Statistics, Strategic Business Management, Transport Logistics.
Courses - Block B: Basics of the System Analysis, Cargo Studies, Certification, Licensing and Quality Support, Financial Flows in Logistics, Foreign Language of Business, Fundamentals of Logistics, Informatics, Information Systems and Technologies in Logistics, International Commercial Law and Transport Law, Introduction to Logistics, Means of Transportation, Office Work and Business Correspondence, Organisation of transportation, Purchases and Reserves Logistics, Quality Management Systems, Simulation Modelling in Logistics, Transport Nodes and Terminals, Transport Systems, Transport Technology Operations Management, Transport Telematics, Warehouse Logistics.
Courses - Block C: Ethics and Aesthetics, Foreign Language, Politology, Technical Drawing.
Programme volume is 240 ECTS.
IELTS
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

* The original of high school transcripts (for those entering the preliminary and the first courses).
* For the documents issued beyond the borders of the Republic of Latvia the verification is performed in the Centre of Academic Information of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia.
* It is desirable to have 5.5 IELTS (TOEFL 550) for study in English, but certificate is not obligatory.

The "Transport and Business Logistics" is Programme of Transport and Logistics in compliance with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia, the licence of 28.11.2003. Nr. 04038-14, and in full accordance with the LR Education Classification (LR code: 42345) and International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED - 97: level - 5A). The programme is accredited by Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia until 31.12.2014, Programme "Transport and Business Logistics" - Accreditation Certificate of Education Programme Nr. 032-1493, 09.07.2008.
