The field of Electrical Services Engineering covers a wide area of engineering technology used in modern buildings today. These high-tech buildings are equipped with sophisticated environmental control and communication systems. These services include electrical power distribution, standby generation, lighting, emergency services (lighting and fire), access control, data services, automation, building management systems and many more.
Students will have a keen interest in how things work and in problem solving. There is plenty of scope for exercising innovation, creativity and flair when using new technology to solve everyday problems. Green building technology, efficient use of energy, sustainability are all areas that are addressed.
