This unique course has been designed for students who would like to pursue an exciting and rewarding management career in this dynamic sector.
County Kildare and the surrounding areas are at the heart of Ireland's multi-million-euro thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, and home to both Horse Racing Ireland and Horse Sport Ireland, the government agencies set up to promote thoroughbred racing and equestrian sport respectively.
As a student at NUI Maynooth, you will gain an insight into key areas of the equine industry, including racecourse and equine event management, stud farm business management and the equine leisure and tourism sector. The equine aspects of the course are applied in nature , and modules have been developed in conjunction with equine industry experts. You will also develop a firm grounding in enterprise and management skills in general, exploring core business disciplines such as marketing, human resources, accounting, finance, and business law.
