Mechatronics Engineering is the efficient and effective integration of mechanical systems, and electronics and intelligent control. Mechatronics engineers employ precision engineering, control engineering, computer science, mathematics and sensor technology to design enhanced or 'smart' products, processes and systems.
Mechatronics unites the traditional disciplines mechanics, electronics and computer science.
Outstandingly trained technicians are of elementary importance for the technical leading position of the domestic economy. The introduction of the Bachelor´s program Mechatronics in Deggendorf creates an innovative course which meets the expectations of economy and science and fulfills the highest international requirements. During the coming decades we will see an explosion of these automated systems further infiltrating our lives. Already mechatronics systems are utilised in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, medicine and the service sector. Numerous surveys prove a substantial and continuous need for engineers, in particular with an emphasis on Mechatronics and Optical Technologies
· As well as conveying scientific-technical qualifications the course emphasises economic, legal and social-communicative skills (Social skills, foreign languages etc.)
· With motivated lecturers from the fields of economy, science and consulting, the international focus of the course guarantees excellent study conditions
· The program is built around two thematic areas of specialization "tracks". These tracks consist of Mechatronical Systems and Optical Technologies
· Our students are trained to become an all-round engineer in the field of Mechatronics
· This programme leads to the international Bachelor degree of Engineering
The 6th Semester will be completed as a practical term. Starting in the 4th Semester, the student has to decide for one of the following specializations: Mechatronic Systems, Optical Technologies.
With the successful completion of the Bachelor examination the degree "Bachelor of Engineering ", Abbreviation: "B. Eng. is awarded.
Especially qualified graduates interested in research and development are given the opportunity to engage in a Master's degree, e.g. educate electrical engineering at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences.
Specialization
Mechatronic Systems (MEC)
The study focuses on the development of "Mechatronic Systems"., the link between the mechanical, electronic and information technology component of the automation and control technology will be worked out.
Optical technologies (OPE)
The focus of OPE is at the development and application of optronic facilities. First, the basics of mechatronics, then deepened specialized areas of optics.
Entrance qualifications
The pre-requisite for a course of study at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences is the general qualification for university entrance, or rather the subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification. Also acceptable is the general advanced technical college entrance qualification. Questions about the equivalency of your qualification will be answered by the Study Centre:
