Interaction Design is a new engineering discipline that meets industry´s needs for methods that put the user at the heart of the product development process. A discipline that focuses on people in the context of their working or daily lives, and ensures that technology relates to their needs, dreams or desires.

You will learn to contribute to the design and development of user oriented, interactive products, services and systems, which can be used in, for example, homes, hospitals or industries of the future.

Collaborative leaning environment

You will be a part of a unique, studio based and collaborative learning environment where the emphasis is on practical projects that explore a range of user issues and different contexts. A thorough understanding of the dynamics of a design process is developed through these projects.

Communication and presentation skills are also emphasised as a means of involving all those associated with a product development process - users, associated networks of people from industry, and other interested organisations.

The program will enable you to:

* Understand the relationship between people, technology, ethics and society as a whole
* Use your personal resources of creativity, innovation skills, aesthetic sensibility and interest in the welfare of others to influence the design of products, which can benefit and enrich other people´s lives
* Understand and use theory, practice and methods to design and develop innovative, interactive and user oriented products, services and systems.
