As a specialization of Public Administration, this study takes an in-depth look at the European Union by studying law, economics, political science and sociology.
Nobody disputes the fact that Europe is becoming increasingly important. However, this same complexity also means that in order to procedure solutions to the many issues concerning the Union, we will need to examine Europe from various different angles. This is why the European Studies programme focuses not only on Brussels, but also takes a look at the impact of European politics on the individual member states and international politics, putting the development and discussion of European integration centre stage. We will concentrate, for example, on topics such as the health care systems, foreign policy, homeland security and asylum policies, trade and European environmental issues.
