Location of ISM University of Management and Economics
Economics and Politics is a specialisation of the Economics programme, students, graduating from it receive a Bachelor degree in Economics with a specialization. The interdisciplinary programme dictated by the today’s societal processes. It is taught in the English language and it is also one of the most popular study programmes in the best universities of Great Britain, Ireland and USA. Studying economics combined with politics does have a point, as economics and creation of business-friendly environment are closely related with politics, and many of political decisions rely on economic thinking and economic arguments.
The Economics and Politics Programme looks into the logic and outcomes of decision-making by economic and political actors. Being very closely interrelated, these two areas often influence each other; therefore, to forecast the impact of a political decision on economics, one has to understand both areas very well.
The Economics and Politics Programme relies heavily on game theory and quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, which enable consistent and efficient examination of economic and political crossing points. The ability to use these tools gives an advantage to those who pursue further studies in the best universities of the world or who choose to work in a non-academic sector.

We are seeking ambitious and pro-active individuals who are determined to have successful future careers. All candidates have to demonstrate that they have the commitment and motivation to benefit from and contribute to the programme. ISM Undergraduate School uses a self-managed application process to facilitate efficient processing of your application.
Main requirements 2012 for the international full-time degree students are the following:
- Secondary education diploma or equivalent;
- English test valid certificate (TOEFL with minimum score 60; IELTS with minimum score 5.5);
- Final secondary school exams in English and Mathematics (scoring not less than 60% of the overall grade).
Candidates are ranked according to the results of their final examination grades (secondary school exams in English and Mathematics) and knowledge of English language (TOEFL, IELTS test scores).

- ISM has received an award from EDUNIVERSAL that placed ISM among the 300 top World Business Schools. - The group of international experts who carried out the accreditation of business and management study programmes at Lithuanian universities in 2005 accredited the business and management bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes of ISM University of Management and Economics without any additional conditions.
Funding details
Applicants from the CIS States, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova are eligible for tuition fee discounts:
- 1 full scholarship to cover 100% of tuition fee;
- 1 scholarship to cover 50 % of tuition fee.
Applicants from Ukraine and Kazakhstan are eligible for tuition fee discounts (application through the Lithuanian embassies in Ukraine and Kazakhstan):
- 1 full scholarship to cover 100% of tuition fee (Ukrainian citizens);
- 1 full scholarship to cover 100% of tuition fee (Kazakhstan citizens).
