Psychology – (B.A.)

The METU-NCC Psychology program was established in 2006 with first students admitted in the 2006-2007 academic period. The program aims to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills in psychology, both in theoretical and applied senses. The contents of the compulsory courses in the program (social psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, industrial/organisational psychology, biopsychology, health psychology, and experimental psychology) are designed to do just that and reflect the most up-to-date knowledge in the respective fields. In addition to the compulsory courses, undergraduate students are also required to take 13 elective courses, six of which must be psychology courses, with remaining from other disciplines - a structure that reflects the crossdisciplinary nature of psychology. The psychology elective courses are provided in line with the expertise of our faculty and aimed to deepen the knowledge base of our senior students.
