Our four-year BSc Biomedical Sciences (Integrated) is a sandwich course that uses a disease-based approach to the study of the biomolecular foundations of medicine, and includes modules concerning the application of biomedical sciences in the NHS. The skills you will learn are at the forefront of advances in medical research, including clinical biochemistry, biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, forensic science, veterinary science, health and safety and food science. This means our graduates have a science qualification appropriate for a career in a wide variety of industrial and public sector environments. On your sandwich year, you are paid as a trainee biomedical scientist whilst working towards state registration in an NHS laboratory. Our biomedical sciences courses are accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science and approved by the Health Professions Council, resulting in accelerated career progression within the NHS.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

GCSE Mathematics: C
IB: 30-26 points, including Higher Chemistry and a second science, plus Standard Mathematics grade 4 or above (if not taken at Higher Level)
