The BBA Program in Finance and Accounting is a three-year program conducted in English that prepares students for work in corporate finance and accounting. Their knowledge and skills are developed intensively, as are their problem-solving and decision-making abilities, as they focus on formulating, implementing, and monitoring business strategy and policy. The purpose of the program is to produce technically competent professionals with high ethical standards and a good business sense. Curriculum of the program combines the benefits of traditional accounting with a broad range of business topics reflecting the expanding needs and responsibilities of finance professionals, allowing students to face the challenges of an ever-changing global economic environment. Graduates of the BBA program can expect to have the widest possible range of career opportunities in all areas of business.

PURPOSE OF BBA STUDIES

Requirements

Admission is based on the results of the matriculation exam (matura) in three subjects chosen by the candidate among all of the subjects in the examination.

Qualifying points are calculated based on the percentage results from the matriculation certificate (nowa matura) as follows:

  • 1% at the basic level = 1.5 points
  • 1% at the advanced level = 2 points

Grades obtained as result of the "old matriculation", International Baccalaureate system or a foreign high school diploma are also converted into qualifying points.

Candidates who have reached the minimum level of 300 points will be admitted to Kozminski University programs until the enrollment limit for chosen program is reached. The Recruitment Commission has the right to admit a student who did not achieve the required minimum level of 300 points in certain cases.

The Admission Commission has the right to admit a candidate who has not obtained the minimum of 300 points in specific cases.

Foreign Candidates are admitted with omission of the above mentioned regulations in accordance with the ordinance of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland of September 9, 2009.

Candidates for the Double Degree Bachelor Program in Management with Industry Placement are admitted on the basis of their analytical and critical thinking skills and willingness to work in international corporations from the beginning of their studies.
Candidates for the program are required to submit an essay on a given subject. In addition they will be invited to a personal interview with representatives of the companies which participate in the program.

  • Required documents

During the application process candidates must submit a complete set of documents including:

  • original high school diploma or a copy issued by the candidates high school
  • 2 signed passport photographs
  • copy of a national ID or Passport
  • proof of payment of the admission fee (non-refundable)

Foreigners are additionally required to submit:

  • sworn translations of documents, legalization of the diploma obtained in the country where the diploma was issued and nostrification (before the end of the first semester)
  • document confirming proficiency in English (e.g. TOFEL results)
  • copy of the passport and residence permit or a visa
  • copy of a valid health insurance

Citizens of the Republic of Poland who obtained their high school diplomas in a foreign country, are required to submit a translation of their diploma by a sworn translator, legalization of their diploma obtained in the embassy or another administration unit in the country where the diploma was issued and they must also obtain a nostrification (before the end of the first semester of studies).

Documents can be submitted at the Admission Office on campus of Kozminski University, room D/126. Admission process for the 2012/2013 academic year begins on May 4, 2012.

The admission fee for all programs delivered in English is 650PLN.
