Electrical and Electronics Engineering – (B.Sc.)

The Bachelor of Science Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering has the following vision, mission, and objectives:

Vision.Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department will provide a program of the highest quality to produce leader engineers who can address the challenges of the new century and excel at an international level.

Mission Statement.With this vision, the mission of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department is to provide its graduates with the knowledge and skills needed for high quality engineering work as well as advanced engineering research and to equip its graduates with a broad intellectual spectrum in order to prepare them for diverse and competitive career paths.

Program Objectives.The following educational objectives of Bilkent University, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (BU-EEE) undergraduate program refer to the achievements of our graduates 3-5 years after graduation. These objectives are determined in consultation with the various constituencies of the BU-EEE program and approved by the faculty.
1. BU-EEE graduates will have successful careers in the academic environment, industrial and government organizations.
2. BU-EEE graduates will be able to analyze and solve electrical engineering problems by applying basic principles of mathematics, science, and engineering. They will be able to use modern engineering techniques, skills, and tools to fulfil societal needs.
3. Based on the broad education that they receive at BU-EEE, our graduates will be sensitive to ethical, societal and environmental issues while conducting their professional work.
4. BU-EEE graduates will possess strong fundamental knowledge to pursue advanced degrees in diverse fields and continue professional development through activities such as professional training, attendance in conferences and membership in professional societies,
5. BU-EEE graduates will be equipped with technical and communication skills in order to be able to function in national/international/multi-cultural corporations and organizations
