The Business Information Systems is a new specialty which is provided in response to the increasing demand for specialists in the field of Information Technologies applied to business.
The programme is focused on the development of knowledge of students in the field of computerized information systems, which is a substantial function of every modern organization. The curriculum in this specialty is designed in such a way that it gives students the opportunity to choose on their own the field of information technology in which they want to specialize. This is possible after the first year when during which students gain fundamental knowledge of business information systems and their real-life application.
Among the modules in this programme are: Operating Systems, Business Information Systems, Basic Business Applications, Graphic design (Java or SQL), Web design, Content Management Systems, Software Engineering, Client-Server applications, ERP, CRM, E-Business, Analysis and Design of Information Systems and others.
Those who graduate this specialty enjoy very good opportunities for professional realization as managers or consultants in the IT departments of many public, trades, financial or non-economic organizations.
Upon successful completion of the 3-year study course students will be awarded two Bachelor Degrees - from IUC and University of Wales, UK.

IELTS
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

o SAT - over 1000 points from two sections
o IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent score from other internationally recognized testing systems)
In conclusion here are the few steps to apply:
Firstly, you will have to apply by e-mail. For this purpose you will have to prepare the following documents:1. Please download and fill in the application form.
2. Scan your secondary education diploma.
3. Prepare your Curriculum Vitae (CV) and attach a photo.
4. Send us an e-mail with your motivation letter, the application form, the scanned copy of your diploma, and your CV to marketing@vumk.eu.
Once we receive the above listed documents the Student Affairs Office reviews them and informs you on our decision. Normally this process takes about 2 weeks. Upon receiving a confirmation you should send us by POST the following:1. Please download, print out and fill in the application form.
2. Photocopy your secondary education diploma.
3. Prepare and print out your CV.
4. Your motivation letter.
5. Pack and post the abovementioned documents, enclosing two passport size photos, to the following address:

Please remember that if you have no international English language certificate, upon arrival you will have to sit for the IUC English entry exam.

Accreditation
The Business Information Systems specialty is accredited by the Bulgarian National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency in the "Economics" academic stream.
Furthermore, the IUC Business Information Systems specialty is recognized and accredited by University of Wales Institute Cardiff, UK, which provides students with the opportunity to receive two Bachelor Degrees upon successful completion of their studies.
