The Program has recruited a star-studded cast of lecturers, which includes not only celebrated names from the world of academia, but also illustrious practitioners of the art of politics, such as: one ex-Prime Minister; two ex-deputy Prime Ministers; two ex-Ministers (of Defence and Foreign Affairs) and deputy-Ministers, several Ambassadors and so forth. The presence of such lecturers provides students, uniquely in Europe, with the opportunity to discover the realities, as well as the conceptual aspects of the subjects studied. All lecturers have had teaching and research experience at European and American Universities. Lecturers are required to oversee the students' additional work (specializations), as well as to bring in, as guest lecturers, important representatives of the subject studied. In the first year, students will be asked to choose 3 out of 5 available courses. Thereafter they will be choosing 5 out of 8 available courses, with increasing profiling and specialization in Years 3 and 4. Students graduate with B.A. in Political Science.

Take testAdmission Procedure Application PackageInternational students (without Erasmus Students) submit the following application package: 1. A completed Application form2. A copy of his/her official diploma, including the Academic transcript (Secondary education diploma - for undergraduate students). The copy must be officially legalized by the relevant authorities in the country, where is issued the diploma with the stamp "Apostille", then officially translated (into Bulgarian or English); or with official stamp by the relevant authorities, then translated (into Bulgarian or English) and legalized by the Bulgarian Embassy in the country.3. Medical certificate, issued not earlier than 1 month prior to application, legalized by the authorities in the country of the candidate with the stamp "Apostille", then officially translated (into Bulgarian or English); or with official stamp by the relevant authorities, then translated (into Bulgarian or English) and legalized by the Bulgarian Embassy.4. A legal document, confirming the right of the candidate to continue his/her education in the HE Schools of the country where the Secondary education has been obtained.5. Two recent passport-size photos.6. A copy of the first page of his/her passport with the names in Latin letters, date and place of birth.7. All applicants may enclose writing samples, information about extracurricular activities, additional recommendations, etc. Applicants who are currently working could provide recommendations from their employers and an essay detailing current activity. Admission for citizens from non EU member countries:1. NBU takes the decision for admission two weeks after receiving the application package.2. NBU sends the documents to the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) for legalization and visa. 3. Documents have to be approved by MES. MES sends a Letter of Confirmation with the name of the admitted student to NBU.4. NBU sends a Letter of Admission under condition to the student.
5. The student must pay through bank transfer the fee for the first semester, which will be waved from the year fee upon arrival.
6. NBU sends a final Admission Letter to the student and to the Embassy for issuing a visa.
Admission for citizens from EU member countries:1. NBU takes the decision for admission up to two weeks after receiving the application package.
2. NBU sends an Admission Letter to the student.

INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION by THE NATIONAL EVALUATION AND ACCREDITATIONAGENCY -
On 5th July 2001 NBU obtained from the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency an institutional accreditation for the maximum 6-year period. This accreditation entitles NBU to enrol students and issue higher education diplomas, recognized by the state. In the month of September 2005, the New Bulgarian University passed through the second procedure of institutional accreditation. The masters program “Law” of the New Bulgarian University obtained program accreditation from the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency – Outgoing No 397, 22nd June 2004.
ACCREDITATION BY The Open University, London -
On 18th October 2004 the New Bulgarian University obtained accreditation for an initial five- year period from the Open University, Great Britain. The accreditation entitles NBU to offer education on the programs of the Open University.
ACCREDITATION BY OPTIMA -
In the beginning of 2004 the foreign language general educational courses of NBU were accredited by OPTIMA – the Bulgarian branch of the international association for quality language services (EAQUALS-ALTE). OPTIMA’s logo guarantees quality of the language environment and high level training, high standard of teaching and training, ensured by qualified teachers, professionalism and high morality, correctness and reliability of the information, related to the training conditions and payment, engagement in the implementation and development of the foreign language training standards, regular monitoring (inspection) of the educational process, precise evaluation of the language level of the students through entry tests, tracking the progress of the students through current and final tests, opportunity for the students to express their opinion of the course, clear and correct procedure for solving of problems related to complaints, issuing of a certificate for a completed level and results at the end of the course.
