In the current economic trade climate the exchange of goods and services is becoming ever more globalized. This is due to the increasing volume of international trade, the ease of communication and the ever advancing technologies. As more companies look to go global, international business and international trade agreements play an increasingly major role in the world economy, with every country contributing positively and negatively to the global network.
International trade and exports play a pivotal role in the economic development of all countries and this is reflected in the standard of living. Some fundamental questions regarding the impact of international trade and finance examine the issues in regard to national economics and the business sector and look to determine the connections.
This academic program gives students a solid background in the disciplines of macro and micro economics, business economics, international economics, marketing, financial management, financial and managerial accounting, international trade, and international trade law. Students should also choose three elective courses in international business. Learning a second foreign language, other than English (German or French) is a compulsory component of the program. A number of the elective courses, including export-import management, international transportation and logistics, and international trade, are project based and carried out at the university over a 30 day internship. The elective courses for fourth year students are offered in areas relevant to management, international trade and finance.
