The Final Year programme Human Resource Management is a course for students who want to develop a career as e.g. an (international) HRM manager, a change agent or a strategic (business) partner.

On successful completion of the Final year you will receive the internationally acknowledged Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management.
Career prospects
After graduation, students might return to their home country and commence their career.
But for certain after completion of this Short Course Degree HRM they will be an interesting candidate for a career in the international Human Resources business environment.
The young professionals can fill the role of a junior international Change Agent and/or junior Strategic (business) Partner.
Starting positions could be assistant HRM manager, assistant Advisor Organizational Development or a assistant Change Manager
The Human Resource Manager will be able to use knowledge, intuition, skills and experience to hold positions of responsibility at middle and higher human resource management levels.
We also experienced, that students decide to continue their education at Saxion Universities or another University in Europe aiming for a Masters Degree. Our Short Degree Course is an excellent step stone for further education here or elsewhere.
International organizations and their staff continually need to adapt to shifts in the external environment and have to feel ‘at home’ anywhere in the world. The programme is aimed at advancing the understanding of human behavior in the workplace and the contribution of Human Resource (HR) policies and practices to the effectiveness of organizations.
The programme
Saxion’s Short Degree Course Human Resource Management builds on the previous education of the student. Depending the previous education they enrol either in the programme consisting of one or two years.
Saxion offers the latest insights and knowledge in business (change) strategies, international HRM strategies, advanced intercultural communication techniques & skills and a thorough understanding of primary business processes.
After completion of the Short Degree Course, students are awarded the internationally acknowledged Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management.
Attention is dedicated to the personal development of the student in this international setting. Multinational teambuilding and acquiring a variety of communication skills by means of training sessions, like negotiating, influencing techniques, presentations, etc. are part of the programme.
Students who enrol in the Short Degree Course will either follow all four semesters or semester 3 and 4 depending on their previous education.

Learning outcomes
Students learn to link all subjects of the course and learn about the way in which those will be used in a professional business environment.
Getting acquainted with the future professional field is an important part of the programme.
Throughout the programme students work on practical assignments in which they apply knowledge and skills gained from theory combined with real business situations.
The course will be completed by a final assignment as test of capability: the students will have to show that they are able to complete an assignment and to compile a written and oral report about a strategic HRM topic of a real business.

The students’ qualifications will be assessed by the Admission Officer of the specific Course on the basis of provided Diplomas, Curriculum Vitae, a letter of motivation and if necessary an Intake Interview.
For Both Bachelor and Master Courses the entry requirement is an Academic IELTS of 6.0 or an equivalent in another language test (TOEFL 550, etc.).
