Internationalisation and globalisation determine today´s global outlook. The Netherlands has an excellent reputation all over the world when it comes to agricultural products. Many businesses in the food sector have their origins in the Netherlands. Think of the original Dutch Unilever or Sara Lee/Douwe Egberts which are now subsidiaries of large multinationals. The demand for young, internationally oriented managers who have learned to cooperate in intercultural teams, is constantly increasing. International Business and Management Studies (IBMS) is an internationally oriented Business Administration (BBA) study.
It is a special collaboration between the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden (NHL), Stenden Hogeschool and Van Hall Larenstein, which allows you to experience the best these three universities have to offer. You will have your own study coach, various consultancy services, contact with international students, and plenty of possibilities to join in international exchange programmes.
You will start off with a broad basis and in the third year you will choose from one of three different specialisations: Food and Agribusiness Management (a final phase programme of the Bachelor Agribusiness and Business Administration of Van Hall Larenstein), Business-to-Business Management (Specialisations

Accreditation
This specialisation is part of the International Business and Management Studiesprogramme which is accredited by the NVAO, the Accreditation Organisation of The Netherlands and Flanders. In the end you will receive a Bachelor of International Business and Management Studies.
Funding details
There are several options for acquiring scholarships and grants that cover some or all of the costs of a study programme at Van Hall Larenstein. At Van Hall Larenstein the Master programmes and the Certificate Programmes are eligible for the Netherlands Fellowship Program (NFP). For precise procedures on the NFP programme please consult www.nuffic.nl.
Moreover, Van Hall Larenstein offers students from NFP countries a "VHL Excellent Student Scholarship" of 3500 euro by enrolment for the next study year 2011-2012 in a bachelor degree programme (except for IBMS). The scholarship will apply for students who enrol for the first time in a bachelor programme of Van Hall Larenstein, and start in August 2011.
