International Business is an English language economics degree course which offers deep knowledge of business studies whilst in particular taking international aspects into consideration at the same time.
Business studies - knowledge for your career
This degree course is aimed at students who are looking for a solid business studies degree course for their vocational future within the global work market. As well as classical economics subjects, you will study the Bachelor of Arts in International Business with a high practical affinity and in work market orientated core subjects. You will be taught wide-ranging competencies in a specialist subject of your choice, which you can deepen during an obligatory semester abroad, making you stand out from other applicants. You can select from the following eight core subjects:

Moreover, various elective subjects make it possible for you to expand on individual areas or business studies functions. Intense training also prepares you for various language qualifications - e.g. the "Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC -Higher)". Modules in the personal skills area round off your qualification.

Please submit the following documents to the CBS (EU) or uni-assist (non EU) to the CBS for your application:
* The completed application form with a photo
* A letter of motivation
* Your CV in tabular format
* A copy of your passport
* Certified copies of your latest school report, the school leaving certificate or corresponding documentation of vocational training or practical work placements
* If necessary, proof of university studies
* Proof of English language skills: TOEFL certificate (560 points paper-based, 220 points computer-based, 83 points Internet-based), IELTS (at least volume 5) or APIEL (level 4). The tests must not be older than two years
Further procedure
After uni-assist has issued you the university admittance credentials, your documents are automatically transferred to the Cologne Business School. After we receive your application, our employees in the admissions office then check your documents and invite you to an assessment centre if required. Your capability to study is tested here in an oral and written examination section. Alternatively, you also have the option of conducting a telephone interview instead of the assessment centre. Once you have completed the assessment centre or telephone interview successfully, you will receive an offer for a place in the course from the CBS. In order to secure your place in the course, you must confirm it within a predefined period.
