The aim of the European Energy Business degree program is to provide specialist expertise in a practice-oriented way within the whole energy business value chain – from the extraction of energy sources to their use by the consumer.
On account of the interdisciplinary nature of the program and the intensive guidance offered by lecturers with backgrounds in various branches of the industry, students are given an insight into all aspects of modern energy business and will discover job opportunities in an industry, which more than ever before, offers excellent prospects for qualified personnel.
Energy Business Interdisciplinary
When a shortage of resources is referred to today in the energy business, it is not just a shortage of gas or oil that is meant. Having access to qualified, specialized personnel is increasingly becoming a factor for success in the industry, especially when it comes to developing long-term solutions for a safe, climate-friendly and above all economic energy supply. Accordingly, the interdisciplinary orientation of the energy business is reflected in the job opportunities for our graduates entering the workforce.
Modern Energy Experts
The first two semesters focus on the fundamentals of engineering and natural sciences and business management. Building on this we provide a deeper understanding of conventional and renewable energies, grid-bound energy and energy management in buildings and factories. Energy policy and energy law round off the basic education. Students spend their fifth semester at one of the partner universities abroad.
The sixth semester is reserved for a minimum ten-week traineeship and the writing of a dissertation. As a rule, traineeships and dissertations are completed together with partners from industry or public institutions and often provide the gateway to subsequent careers.
With its combination of technology and business, the European Energy Business degree program won me over. Looking back, the program was definitely the right choice.
