In Fashion & Management you learn about the clothing and fashion industry in detail, and you learn how to put your new management qualities and insights to best use in buying, producing and selling clothes.
You will also be expected to have answers to the sustainability questions which play a role in this. The professional products you develop include a fabric portfolio, a quality manual, a production guide and a collection and buying plan. Important subjects for Fashion & Management: fashion expertise, collection development, production theory, ICT logistics, international business, production organisation systems, marketing, retail, HRM, management skills and economics.
In the first semester (20 weeks) all students (our Fashion & Branders, Managers and Designers) all follow the same curriculum. In the second semester you begin to specialise in your chosen direction.
In the second year you will do research in the world of jeans and all its facets. You will then have a semester with an international, economic and strategic focus.
The third and fourth years are all about the further development of your talents and aptitudes. You choose a specialisation, a minor and a working internship. You are free to determine in which order you take the different course components. You will produce your final thesis in the final semester of year 4.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
