You learn about form, colour, materials and techniques but also about cultural backgrounds to fashion. You develop a personal vision of fashion that you work up into clothing and styling concepts. You will produce garments, complete outfits, do research for inspiration books, illustrations, photo shoots and concept presentations.
Important subjects for Fashion & Design: Concepts and trends, design, moulage, fabric expertise, pattern drawing, developing collections, product actualisation, drawing and visualisation.
In the first semester (20 weeks) all students (our Fashion & Branders, Managers and Designers) all follow the same curriculum. In the second semester you begin to specialise in your chosen direction.
The second year focuses on the fashion industry, with the sustainability issue running through the entire programme in the first semester. The focus is on jeans and you will produce your own collection, organise a show and will begin to develop your own "signature".
The third and fourth years are all about the further development of your talents and aptitudes. You choose a specialisation, a minor and a working internship. In the last semester of year 4 you will do your final thesis.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
