The standard period of study for this degree programme is 6 semesters. Details can be found in the study course and exam regulations. The curriculum of the Applied Informatics degree progamme is based on the content of the curriculum of the Informatics Bachelor degree programme. After a first joint academic year, however, we offer independent courses which correspond to the special issues of an international degree programme. Thus, a series of events are held in English.
The elective (major) modules of the second year of study lead to a focused major. These modules are based on the emphasis of Network Computing, Intelligent Systems and Digital Media of the Department of Informatics and Media.
The third year of study starts with a semester abroad. A supervised practical project with a total volume of 12 weeks, closes the 6th semester. The successful completion of a practical training period is a prerequisite for the application for the Bachelor thesis.
After a successful completion of the Bachelor examination, the students earn a Bachelor of Science degree with a detailed identification of selected courses, major modules and the study abroad within the Diploma Supplement.
