This field of study is offered as a Baccalaureate/Bachelor's degree program in Technical Mathematics (six semesters) and in the form of 3 freely selectable, in-depth Magister/Master's degree programs (four semesters each) in the areas of mathematics for natural sciences, industrial mathematics or computer mathematics.
During the program of study, depending on the selected area of study, great emphasis is placed on the industrial and expert feasibility of knowledge. Students studying technical mathematics learn by simulation how to research the functions inside of a blast furnace, or how to “teach” a computer to automatically find proof of mathematical theorems.
