Studying at Royal Holloway in one of the country's largest drama department's will develop your intellectual, practical, verbal, and written skills, while nurturing your interest in drama and the theatre. Throughout your course you will be encouraged to engage with performance texts and enhance your imaginative and analytical development, integrating theory and practice in all your studies.
During the first year you will be introduced to a range of practical and analytical skills. In the second year you will be able to focus on Australian drama, film and culture, or post-colonial drama, to prepare you for your year in Brisbane, and in your final year you will complete a research essay based on research into Australian theatre conducted whilst in Australia. In addition to these core subjects, students can choose from a wide range of elective units, all taught by staff with specialist expertise.
