The Bachelor of Arts degree course General Management, taught in German, offers you a wide-based generalist-orientated business studies programme, set-up to meet the latest practical requirements.
Generalists with broad know-how
The business studies degree provides you sound capabilities and knowledge in all economics sub-disciplines and questions and opens several different job prospects in national and international companies. The targeted selection of two core subjects enables you to study in accordance with your interests and to distinguish in these areas as a specialist. You select two core subjects individually from the following seven core subjects:
Practical imparting of theories
Interesting lectures, exercises and business games treat all typical business contents of degree courses. This enables Cologne Business School students to work as managers with a generalist qualification or to become a successor in a medium-sized company. Business games and practical projects ensure that you not only acquire theoretical knowledge but can also really apply it. Foreign language training for various previous knowledge levels is just as much a component of the degree course as the strengthening of interdisciplinary competence through communication, presentation and team management training. An industrial placement enables you to apply the knowledge you have gained practically in a company of your choice at home or abroad.
The Bachelor of Arts General Management degree course provides a selection between seven core subjects from which you can select two individually according to your interests. Application process for international applicants

* The completed application form with a photo
* A letter of motivation
* Your CV in tabular format
* A copy of your passport
* Certified copies of your latest school report, the school leaving certificate or corresponding documentation of vocational training or practical work placements
* If necessary, proof of university studies
Further procedure
After uni-assist has issued you the university admittance credentials, your documents are automatically transferred to the Cologne Business School. After we receive your application, our employees in the admissions office then check your documents and invite you to an assessment centre if required. Your capability to study is tested here in an oral and written examination section. Alternatively, you also have the option of conducting a telephone interview instead of the assessment centre. Once you have completed the assessment centre or telephone interview successfully, you will receive an offer for a place in the course from the CBS. In order to secure your place in the course, you must confirm it within a predefined period.
