The type of work you can do as an environmental engineer is very diverse. You can be a designer, a developer, a tester, a supervisor, an operator, a marketing or sales engineer, a project engineer, a government or local agency official or involved in professional association work.Your employers can be private companies, consulting companies, research institutes, universities, testing laboratories, local or government agencies, professional associations or international organizations.
