Would you like to work with all phases in the building process – from first sketch till finished buildings? Prepare the drawing material, collaborate with the authorities, make the detailed planning and financial estimates, supervise work at construction sites and basically work as project leader? If so, the Architectural Technology and Construction Management programme is ideal for you.
The programme is theory-based and job-oriented, i.e. it aims at qualifying students for solving practical problems on an analytical basis. Theory is constantly targeted towards practical application in the industry. For the same reason, students work primarily in teams, and all the semesters are based heavily on project work.
A completed programme gives access to and credits for studies at higher education level in Denmark as well as internationally.
The programme ”Architectural Technology and Construction Management” is offered in collaboration between Business Academy Aarhus and VIA University College in Horsens.
You can complete all seven semesters and graduate as a Construction Architect – a 3½-year BA degree. Or you can choose to follow a separate 4th semester and thereby specialise as a Building Technician – a 2-year AP degree.
The programme is a 3½-year full-time semester-based education with focus on project-oriented and multi-disciplinary studies. The duration of each semester is 20 weeks. The programme corresponds to 210 ECTS points.
Architectural Technology and Construction Management graduates are qualified for designing, planning, managing and implementing processes and tasks in the building and construction sector. You will be one of the main actors when the enterprise carries out a building or construction project, and you will be familiar with the whole process from idea to the final stage of the project. Each semester has a main theme corresponding to the study level.
We have set up a drawing office environment in all classrooms along with a wireless network and lecture facilities. The academy is open for access 24 hours a day.
Despite its theoretical aspects, the programme is primarily based on understanding practice. Consequently, teaching involves building site visits, visits to various companies as well as lectures by external consultants, all of which will give you insight into the reality for which you are training.
We are working project and group oriented along with individual projects and optional subjects. Business Academy Aarhus benefits from a large network of building and construction companies, architectural drawing offices, consulting engineers and public authorities, with whom we collaborate on projects that form part of your education.
The programme is a two-year full-time semester-based education with focus on project-oriented and multi-disciplinary studies. The first three semesters are the same as “Architectural Technology and Construction Management”. You will follow a separate 4th semester where you spend half the time working on your final project and half the time in an internship.
As a Building Technician you will be specialized in production and execution.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
