If you would like to be involved in designing and constructing web applications, you should consider the Professional Bachelor of Web Development. With this Bachelor you can get employment in internal development departments or in large consultancy or software companies within the web area. The Professional Bachelor of Web Development programme is ideal for you, if you would like a higher education based on the Computer Science or the Multimedia Design and Communication programmes. The Professional Bachelor of Web Development programme is an 18-month degree course. The programme focuses on the development of web technologies within a number of different application fields and a number of different distribution platforms. We consider it particularly important that you work with technologies that will enable you to undertake many different kinds of jobs. These may be anything from advanced web development projects, where the products are aimed at many different platforms, to the use of multimedia in integrated communication solutions. Each of the first two semesters features three modules, whilst the final (3rd) semester consists of a work placement with an IT company and a final bachelor project, also to be completed in a company.

Work Placement
You will spend the first half of the 3rd semester in a work placement with a company. The placement will give you the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge to practical work, and at the same time you enhance your chances of gaining quick access to an exciting job. It is your own responsibility to find a company that will take you in, but we do place a large number of contacts at your disposition.
Bachelor Project
During the second half of the 3rd semester, you have to write your bachelor project. The bachelor project should be based on a practice-related issue. You will outline the issue for the bachelor project in collaboration with an external partner, e.g. the company where you do your work placement. Normally, the project is elaborated in close contact with the company, and you will probably spend most of your time at the company whilst working on the project.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
More informationThe Bachelor’s top-up programme in Web Development is designed to be a direct top-up possibility to the AP degree in Multimedia Design and Communication or Computer Science. Therefore, in order to be admitted to the programme, you must have completed the AP degree.
