Students can choose electives in Marketing or Financial Management and Accounting and can therefore specialize their profile regarding these two business functions.
Core competences and qualifications in Communication, Research Methods and Computer Training are additional elements of the study programme.
To prepare our students to work in an international management environment all courses are taught completely in English.
A core element of the study programme is an internship of 5-6 months length that can be done either in Germany or abroad.
Courses are conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. The average size of a class is 30 students thus allowing for an interactive dialogue and communication between professors and their students.
Internship
One 5-6 month internship enables our students to turn their academic knowledge into practical experience. The internship can be taken either in Germany or abroad and represents a crucial element of our study programmes. Students establish first ties with the industry and have the chance to lmake a first impression on potential employers.
Extra Curriculum
A further addition to the study programme's emphasis on practical experience is what we call "Extra Curriculum". The Extra Curriculum is offered once a week during the first semester. Participation is optional.
The programme consists of the following elements:
Workshops and conferences on and off campus on different subjects
Guest lectures and experts from the different industries, internationally operating enterprises and other universities
Field trips to internationally operating enterprises
The Extra Curriculum works as an excellent orientational tool in the first semester and provides our students with first-hand insights into the world of management and business. In this way, our students learn more about how the different industries are structured, and which types of enterprises and work opportunities exist.
Semester Abroad
Students who perform very well during their studies have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of our partner universities (in-house selection process).
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
