The International Business Program is designed for students interested in a career in an international environment. The program meets the need for business men and women who are able to work in an international business life and contains general as well as specialized courses, all given in English. You will meet students from different parts of the world during the program which gives you an excellent basis for understanding other cultures. If you take the chance to go abroad, on a university exchange and/or an international internship, you will have experience from studying and working in an international environment. This provides you with valuable experience when applying for future work.
Career Opportunities
After studying on the International Business Program you will have the competence and qualifications to work with international business related tasks in companies, organizations or in the public sector. The internship program offers you a unique opportunity to work abroad where you will have the chance to practice and develop your skills in e.g marketing, management or finance. The program gives you eligibility for advanced and post-graduate studies in business administration.
During the program you will study both basic courses and courses specially designed for the program. Parallel to some of the courses you will also receive tutoring in English by a teacher from the language department. The aim is to develop your writing- and oral-skills in the language. Throughout the programme you will meet students from different parts of the world thus giving you a knowledge and an understanding of other cultures. If you choose to study part of your programme at one of our partner universities and/or choose to go on an internship abroad you will also have experience of what it is like to study and work in an international environment.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testBasic entrance requirements for higher studies (a successfully completed upper secondary education (post-16)). Specific requirements: Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B (IELTS (Academic) with a minimum overall score of 6.5 and no individual score below 5.5. TOEFL PBT (Paper-based Test) with a minimum score of 575 and a minimum TWE score of 4.5). TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) with a minimum score of 90 and a minimum score of 20 on the Writing Section). Mathematics course C at Swedish gymnasium or equivalent. Social science course A at Swedish gymnasium or equivalent.
