Established in 1926, the Poznan University of Economics is one of the best, oldest and most prestigious economic universities in Poland, widely renown for its academic excellence. Student Life
Pozna´n is a city of renowned and prestigious universities. It occupies the first position in Poland in terms of the percentage of students in the city’s population. Students, as well as foreign tourists who visit Pozna´n in great numbers thanks to the city’s location close to the German border, are offered a variety of attractions. One can spend time attending a multitude of sports and cultural events as well as visiting literally a myriad of fancy restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Pozna´n constitutes a lively cultural scene with many theatres, museums, galleries, an opera house and the State Philharmonic. All over the year a number of unique events are held here, including the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition, the Contemporary Dance Workshop, the Contemporary Music Festival, and the Malta International Theatre Festival - the second largest theatre festival in Europe.
