The trilingual study programme Bachelor En Psychologie (BAP) serves as the first access to the fascinating field of research and professional activity in Psychology. The University of Luxembourg(Luxemburg) offers this study programme since the academic year 2005/06. The studies extend over a period of three years (i.e., six semesters). After finishing the Bachelor programme with a diploma (B.Sc.), a Master’s degree can be pursued.
At the „Journée portes ouvertes 2013“ George Steffgen, the Study Director of the BAP, explained the psychology studies at the University of Luxembourg to interested pupils.
The study programme BAP aims at providing a well-founded scientific background as well as knowledge in essential psychological theories. Scientific approaches to psychology comprise four different fields of competence:
The basic requirement to register as a BAP student is the “Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires” or any equivalent qualification. Good or very good German, French and English language skills are also required. In addition, there will be a selection procedure for candidates that meet these requirements. Candidates have to submit a personal letter of motivation first. Additionally, they may be invited to a personal multilingual interview, which offers them the chance to present, in a personal situation, the reasons for their choice to study Psychology. The maximum number of students admitted is 80.
Always verify the dates on the programme website.
