Course Content

Basic studies will provide you with grounds for an international engineering examination. Professional studies familiarise students with the development of different tasks in an international industrial company. The studies consist of leadership skills, strategic resource management, advanced quality planning systems, research & development, innovation management, marketing, accounting and international logistics. Part of your studies will be organised together with Centria research and development, using laboratories, projects and international exhibition projects as an authentic learning environment.

Requirements for Industrial Management

A person may be admitted as a student to a Bachelorís degree programme at a university of applied sciences (UAS), when he or she has completed:

1) the general upper secondary school syllabus or the Matriculation Examination

2) the International Baccalaureate, German Reifeprüfung or European Baccalaureate Diplomas

3) an upper secondary vocational qualification with a minimum scope of three years or equivalent previous studies (curriculum-based qualifications)

4) vocational qualifications of less than three years

5) an upper secondary vocational qualification, a further vocational qualification or a specialist vocational qualification

6) foreign education that provides eligibility to apply for higher education in the country in question.

The qualification used in the application procedure must be completed such that the copy of the certificate will arrive at the relevant university of applied sciences no later than 3 pm (+2 GTM Finnish time) on 17 July. This also applies to any qualifications completed by EU/EEA citizens as well as to international matriculation examinations (IB, EB, RP). However, if an applicant is applying with a non-Finnish qualification and is not an EU/EEA citizen, or if an applicant is applying with a Finnish further or specialist vocational qualification, this qualification must be completed by the end of the application period.
