About

After completing the 3rd year of the Civil Engineering programme from Warsaw University of Technology students choose specialisation for the 4th year. Depending on the number of students interested in particular field of study two of the following specialisations are available each year:

Civil Engineering Structures (CES)

The programme focuses on the structural design of various types of engineering as well as industrial buildings and structures. CES curriculum includes the design of metal, concrete, wood and masonry structures. It also covers the repairing and rebuilding of buildings and structures, computer-aided design, construction works, typical project management and architectural design of simple buildings.

Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)

This specialisation is devoted to the execution, operation and project management. CEM is focused on the technology and organisations of building works including computer techniques, selection of materials, construction, service, and protection of buildings and engineering structures. CEM deals with construction process of typical buildings or modernisation, repair and adaptation of existing buildings, and production process of components or construction products.

Sustainable Building (SB)

The specialisation is focused on issues related to the integrated design of environmentally friendly buildings and structures. Programme includes topic areas covering methods of evaluation and selection of building materials to meet the sustainability criteria, methods for assessment of the impact of buildings on the environment, life-cycle analysis, advanced methods of building physics with issues related to revitalisation and thermo-modernisation of buildings as well as numerical simulations and analysis. SB deals also with computer-aided design and construction works, and basic principles of architectural design.

Transportation Engineering (TE)

Transportation Engineering specialisation is dedicated to the transportation system planning and management, and design of transportation facilities, including roads and railroads. TE deals with geometric design, traffic estimation, technology and organisations of building works including computer techniques, selection of materials, service, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure.

Academic Requirements

Step 1: Create an account in the Application System
  • The whole application & admission process is run online only. Start with creating an account in the Application System.

Step 2: Upload Entry Documents required to start application
  • Secondary School Leaving Certificate + transcript of records
  • Passport photo page
  • €200 application fee
  • Once your Entry Documents get verified positively by ISO, your online file will be sent to the Faculty for Admission. One €200 payment allows you to apply consequently up to three courses only in the current application session.
Step 3: Complete the Placement Tests online
  • An online test that enables the Faculty to assign you to appropriate study path. Test is from English and mathematics and is done online only. The result of the test does not determine the admission.
Step 4: Wait for the decision of the Faculty
  • It takes maximum 30 days to get the decision.
  • You will get a Conditional Acceptance Letter which will allow you to start studies after uploading the Admission Documents. In case of negative decision your application will be sent to the next course of your choice indicated in the online Application System.
Depending on Decision Made by the faculty in Step 4 you:
  • Start with Foundation Year

We know from experience the educational systems around the world vary a lot. We fill this gap by inviting you to Foundation Year, which will prepare you to study at WUT.

To start Foundation Year you should upload:

  • English Language International B2 Certificate
  • Tuition fee for Foundation Year (two semesters)
  • After completing Foundation Year with a final exam, you will be able to move on to the 1st year of your fulltime B.Sc. studies.

OR

  • Start Regular Fulltime Studies
After getting positive decision upload Admission Documents required from a candidate to be officially admitted and to start studies:
  • Legalization / apostille of Secondary School Leaving Certificate
  • Eligibility statement
  • English Language International B2 Certificate
  • Tuition fee for the first year of studies (check the prices)
  • When all Admission Documents are accepted you can request a Letter for Visa.
It is not required to present any certificate if the language of instruction during previous education (secondary school or B.Sc studies) was English. For example candidates form India do not need any additional certificates because their previous education was run in English.
