Description
This 3½-year full-degree programme taught in English prepares students for careers in business and industry. You will gain the skills and knowledge needed to manage the way businesses receive raw materials as input, add value to the raw materials through various processes, and furthermore sell finished products to customers. This is achieved through analyses, improvement and innovation of value chains in global business environments. The programme takes place in Horsens and in Aarhus.

Value Chain Managers are commonly employed in a broad range of jobs. What these jobs have in common is that they centre around process optimisation.
Most Value Chain Mangers will eventually find employment in positions that entail managerial challenges, such as:

The aim of the Value Chain Management Programme is to provide you with an overview of the network of processes that lead to the production and marketing of goods. You will learn to look at these processes from an overall perspective.
The programme covers 7 semesters dealing with several different subjects such as, for instance, Market Oriented Supply Chain Management. Each semester is concluded with a semester project.
The programme alternates between individual work and group work and it combines theory and practice through project work. From the 2nd semester all projects will be carried out in close cooperation with different companies, giving you the opportunity of working with real-life challenges.
The flexibility of the programme and the variety of electives allow you to create your own study profile and specialisation.
The course:The programme covers seven semesters (3½ years) and the curriculum is built around themes which
lead you toward two profiles: * Global business development or
* Information technology and production
management
Every semester covers a theme which will lead you to know the whole supply chain at the end of your education.
The themes are:
* Market-oriented supply chain management
* From customer order to production plan
* Optimising the production layout
* Optimising the value chain
* Profile theme
All subjects in each semester will help you get a deeper understanding of the challenges in each theme. Each semester will be finalised with a semester project which will enable you to work with the theme in companies either in Denmark or in another
Requirements
Applicants must have: mathematics at intermediate level (Dansih B-level).

If you have not passed any of the internationally recognised tests in English language, you may take our own English test. Please contact us or our local representative to find out when and where the next test will take place. Applicants who are native speakers or with secondary education from the UK, Australia, the USA, Canada and New Zealand are exempted from any English tests.
For information about credit transfer from a previous or current education, please contact us. Credit transfer is certainly possible, but it requires an individual assessment.
