The Business School has an excellent reputation in the field of accounting and finance. This programme has been developed with professional accountancy bodies and financial institutions, providing services such as insurance, investment and commercial banking and asset management.
The programme places emphasis on integrating accounting, financial and systems theory with the practical application of information technology skills using current business software. Information management and systems play a major role in the management of the finances of many organisations. Students graduate with a highly marketable combination of accounting and finance expertise and transferable analytical, software and systems skills. The accountancy, banking and finance sectors offer high salaries, making them a career of choice for those looking for well-rewarded jobs.
After successful completion of the first year of studies, students may transfer to the second year of the BA Hons Accounting and Finance degree or its specialist stream, BA Hons Accounting, Audit and Assurance Services.Transfer is subject to passing all courses and obtaining an overall average of 50% or more.
UK/EU: £9000; International: £10350;
IMPORTANT NOTE: Per 6 April 2015 only the English language tests from IELTS and Trinity College London are accepted for Tier 4 Visa applications to the United Kingdom. Other tests (including TOEFL, TOEIC, Pearson, City & Guilds) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. Since the Trinity College London language tests must be taken in one of their exam centres in the UK, IELTS is now the only language test accepted for Tier 4 visas to the UK that can be taken worldwide.
Applicants should have:
280 UCAS points
FROM at least two A-levels or Double AVCE
PLUS GCSEs at grade C or above in English and mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
• Applicants who do not have English as their first language require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent.
• Applicants with professional qualifications and/or four or more years' full-time work experience are considered on an individual basis. Direct entry into the second year is available for suitably qualified students.
No work experience is required.
Depending on their chosen options, students attract differing levels of exemption from professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Association of International Accountants.
Fortunately enough I was able to find StudyPortals. Right from the start of the application to getting the confirmation of admission I was using StudyPortals.
