A key feature of the programme is the exposure of students to real industrial problems, where leadership skills are developed through a team working approach.

The aims of the programme are:

  • To develop graduates in mechanical engineering with the skills and attributes to take roles within industry as professional engineers
  • To develop in students the ability to apply analytical skills in the solution of complex and unusual problems
  • To equip students with an awareness of engineering in the wider ecconomic and social context.

Requirements for Mechanical Engineering

Applicants should have

300 UCAS points

FROM A-levels, including mathematics and a science/technology subject

OR a National Diploma in engineering at DMM or equivalent

PLUS at least three GCSEs at grade C or above (including English, mathematics and science) or equivalent.

Work Experience for Mechanical Engineering

No work experience is required.
