The programme provides theoretical courses related to the scientific, psychological and sociological study of physical education and sport, and practical courses in athletics, dance, games, gymnastics and swimming.
This programme builds on the foundations of physical education and sport provided by schools and colleges through the physical education National Curriculum and wider programmes in sport and leisure.
You will study courses related to sport policy, practice and development which consider the principles of teaching and coaching, as well as sport in the local, national and international community. In the final year, you will have an opportunity to undertake courses from a range of options, as well as pursue relevant independent study in your chosen area.
The aims of the programme are:
|IELTS band :||6|
IMPORTANT NOTE: Per 6 April 2015 only the English language tests from IELTS and Trinity College London are accepted for Tier 4 Visa applications to the United Kingdom. Other tests (including TOEFL, TOEIC, Pearson, City & Guilds) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. Since the Trinity College London language tests must be taken in one of their exam centres in the UK, IELTS is now the only language test accepted for Tier 4 visas to the UK that can be taken worldwide.
Applicants should have:
200 UCAS points
PLUS at least three GCSEs at grade C or above (including English language and mathematics)
OR equivalent qualifications.
Applicants will be expected to attend an interview
If English is not your first language, you will need to provide proof of your fluency in English before you can begin a programme. The main systems for measuring this are IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0 for degree programmes or TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 for degree programmes. Recently the TOEFL computer-based test has been abolished to make way for the introduction of the Internet-based test, gradually eliminating the traditional paper-based method. Other qualifications may be satisfactory. We can tell you what is acceptable.
No work experience is required.
Fortunately enough I was able to find StudyPortals. Right from the start of the application to getting the confirmation of admission I was using StudyPortals.
