IMPORTANT NOTE: Per 6 April 2015 only the English language tests from IELTS and Trinity College London are accepted for Tier 4 Visa applications to the United Kingdom. Other tests (including TOEFL, TOEIC, Pearson, City & Guilds) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. Since the Trinity College London language tests must be taken in one of their exam centres in the UK, IELTS is now the only language test accepted for Tier 4 visas to the UK that can be taken worldwide.
Applicants should have:
A minimum of 280 UCAS points or equivalent
PLUS GCSEs of a minimum grade C in English and mathematics or equivalent.
• Direct Entry to Year 2 and 3 is available for qualified applicants.
• Applicants who do not have English as their first language require IELTS 6 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill)or equivalent
• Students on this programme may apply to participate in overseas exchanges with our Erasmus partners.
• Applications from mature students are welcome.
No work experience is required.
Students can gain exemptions from Chartered Institute of Marketing, Market Research Society and Institute of Direct Marketing examinations.
This exciting programme concentrates on the skills and techniques associated with the specialist area of advertising and marketing communications. The focus is on preparing students for employment in management positions in advertising and public relations agencies, as well as marketing positions within blue-chip companies.
Though a specialist degree, the programme offers a range of generic marketing skills, such as analysis and strategy formulation and implementation, as well as people management, useful for any marketingrelated role within a company. Areas covered include multimedia advertising, public relations, sales promotion and personal selling, as well as advertising.
The outcome of your study will be the ability to analyse target audiences and implement integrated marketing communications campaigns.
