Description

Employment opportunities in the civil service include planning, urban management and planning, inspection bodies, university and secondary teaching, technical offices, buildings maintenance, firefighters and property registers. In the private sector, the obvious opportunities are for positions in the technical and management companies in construction and property development companies, project studies, control institutions and laboratories, companies manufacturing construction products, management of building maintenance, etc. Their work includes exclusive responsibilities with surveyors and quantity surveyors, on the management of works that are most common in the market, as well as the management of the economics and security of these processes. They also write projects for works, rehabilitation, refurbishment, decoration, and demolition. This engineering is heavily involved in many fields thanks to the general nature of the training which could be expanded by means of a master's degree and a doctorate.

Contents

This technical course provides training for employment in the construction sector.

It requires knowledge and skills, of construction, technical drawing, topography, building installations, works organisation, economics, legislation and regulations, among other aspects.

It provides scientific and technical training which is up to date and respectful of nature and the environment. It also helps in the development of basic skills for work such as teamwork, planning and organisation of work and the ability to adapt.

All the optional subjects in the Study Plan are concentrated in the final year of the Bachelor's degree, and include a wide range of subjects (international mobility, external practical training, core subjects, etc.) in which the student must take a total of 48 ECTS.

Requirements

Students on this course must be individuals with an aptitude for synthesis and spatial vision, who organise and plan their work and who are able to think logically.
