The research at the Faculty is founded from numerous national as well as international projects. We also have an outstanding reputation in undergraduate and postgraduate education. We run several PhD courses.

The aim of the BSc (Eng.) Program in Computer Technologies which we offer is to provide education that essentially extends Applied Informatics curriculum with some additional courses on elementary Mathematics and basic Physics. Our objective is to form Applied Informaticians with a broader basic knowledge, which will certainly be beneficial in a rapidly changing Computer Age.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technologies you will have qualifications for many jobs in private and public companies including IT sector. You will be also able to pursue an academic career at various postgraduate studies, which our Faculty or Adam Mickiewicz University offers.

  • 1st year: Elementary Mathematics, Physics Essentials, Basic Programming, Introduction to Computer Science and Digital Electronics, Operating Systems, Introduction to Metrology and Statistics, Internet Technologies, Computer Architecture, Telecommunication
  • 2nd year: Discrete Mathematics, Physics of Information Media, Programming Languages, Algorithms and Data Structures, Embedded Systems, Microcontroller Laboratory, Architecture of Internet, Optics and Photonics, Advanced Programming Languages, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Web Programming, Information Theory and Coding, Graphic Design
  • 3rd year: Computational Physics, Applications of Automata Theory, Object and Aspect Programming, Data Bases, Optimalization of Web Services, Control Theory, Software Engineering, Programming of Mobile Devices, Information Security, E-commerce
  • 4th year (one semester): Team Project, Security of Web Services, Measurement System Laboratory, Writing Diploma Thesis
